SPERM WHALE patay sa Davao dahil nakakain ng PLASTIC

DAVAO CITY - Natagpuang patay sa dalampasigan ng Samal, Davao del Norte ang isang Sperm whale matapos umanong makakain ito ng plastic ayon sa mga eksperto. Natagpuan ang balyena sa baybayin ng Barangay Miranda, Sabado ng umaga.

Ayon sa isang opisyal ng Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources ilan lamang sa mga gamit na nakuha sa loob ng tiyan at bituka ng sperm whale ang cellophane, wires, tali, lambat at tabla.

Ang buto ng sperm whale at ipepreserba at ididisplay sa Bone Collector Museum.

Ayon kay Bone Collector Museum president Darell Blatchey "Only four out of 53 (whales and dolphins) we have recovered died due to natural causes,".
