11 sundalo patay sa Airstrike ng Philippine Airforce

"A group of our own military army men were hit by our own airstrike. We lost 10, [they were] killed and 8 wounded," ito ang pahayag ni Defense Secretary Delfin Lorenzana sa isang speech sa Mandaluyong.

"It's sad, but sometimes that happens... Maybe the coordination was not properly done so we hit our own people," dagdag pa niya.

Iniimbistigahan pa sa ngayon ng gobyerno ang pangyayari. 

"We will come up with a report, hindi pa namin alam e," pahayag ni Lorenzana.

Sa pahayag naman ng The Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) 11 sundalo umano ang namatay habang 7 ang sugatan.

"One of our SF-260 aircraft conducting airstrike that day was successfully hitting its assigned target in its earlier sorties, However, it was unfortunate that the last ordinance round it delivered went wayward for an unknown reason and accidentally hit and caused the lives of our ground forces," pahayag ni AFP spokesman Brigadier-General Restituto Padilla sa isang press briefing.

"We are deeply saddened by what transpired. We mourn the loss of 11 of our brave harbingers of peace and the wounding of 7 others." 

90 porsyento na ng Marawi ang nabawi ng Militar subalit patuloy parin ang pakikipaglaban ng mga terorista gamit ang mga ninakaw na armas sa mga police station, prison at mga armored police vehicle.

"We will not prevent the ground commander from using this means of delivering military power if he decides that it is still required    and needed. But we will add appropriate measures to ensure that such an incident is avoided," pahayag ni Padilla.

Tinatayang umabot na sa 120 ang militanteng namatay.
