Leila de Lima at 6 pa, Kinasuhan ng drug trafficking

MANILA, Philippines – Sinampahan ng kasong kriminal ng Volun­teers Against Crime and Corruption (VACC) sa Department of Justice si Senator Leila de Lima at animpang iba ng kasong drug trafficking.

Sinampahan din ng kaso ni VACC founding chairman Dante Jimenez sa kasong paglabag sa Section 5 kaugnay sa Section 26 ng Republic Act 9165 o Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2001 sina:

- dating Justice undersecretary Francisco Baraan III
- dating Bureau of Corrections director Franklin Jesus Bucayu
- dating security aide ni de Lima na si Joenel Sanchez
- dating security aide ni de Lima na si at Jad de Vera
- dating driver ni de Lima na si Ronnie Dayan
- at ang high profile inmate na si Jaybee Sebastian.

“Each one of them had played significant roles in order to ensure the perpetuation of the illegal drug trade inside the Bilibid,” ayon sa complaint na isinumite ng VACC.

“Her influence and power likewise offered respondents in this case shield and protection to ensure the invinsibility in the conduct of their illegal trade; in this same manner that she was also able to eliminate the competitors of Jaybee inside the prison by having them transferred to the NBI (National Bureau of Investigation) in December 2014,” ayon sa complaint.

Ayon sa VACC, kitang-kita umano ang motibo ni de Lima na gamitin ang illegal drug trade sa loob ng NBP sa kanyang kandidatura sa pagka senador. 

Nagpalabas narin nitong nakaraan ng immigration lookout bulletin ang Department of Justice laban kina de Lima, Baraan, Bucayu, Dayan at Sanchez.
